Team spirit shines

Victory to Foxwell by a slim margin.
Three things stood tall at this year's cross-country carnival.  The colour of the day was spectacular sight with house colours being worn proudly.  The sounds of the cheering filled the air as students urged on their team mates and boomed their war cries.  But it was the house spirit that raised above all else.  The significance of serving a team ahead of self was so clear.  I saw house leaders running with other younger students to assist them.  I saw parents and teachers running with students supporting their effort.  I saw parents wearing house colours and accessories.  I saw runners giving their best for their team.  A few children raced very hard and won their races but many many more gave their best as well.  And most of all, I saw smiles everywhere.  I am delighted with the results and very proud of everyone involved.

Thank you sincerely to the Sports Department at our school on a wonderful carnival and to their team of supporting staff who ensured that every student enjoyed a fantastic day.  I also want to express my pride in our student leaders as well.  They were brilliant.  Well done!
