Tenacity and sportsmanship

20/07/2017
Our Year 6 rugby league team finished in the top two teams in the recent inter-school sports season.  As a result, they represented the Broadwater District in the South Coast Regional finals.

The team played off against other district champions in our sporting region. It was a remarkable achievement for the team to get this far in our first year of the inter-school sports competition. In the Regional carnival, they defeated Guardian Angels, narrowly lost to Marymount College and needed to defeat Norfolk Village to progress to the Finals. With the scores locked at 12 points each as the final hooter went, the boys were unlucky to lose to a try after the siren.

What impressed most about the team was their remarkable tenacity and tremendous sportsmanship. The boys can be extremely proud of their efforts.
