Term 2 sees the return of our Dance Excellence program for students in Year 4 - 6. Coomera Rivers has once again partnered with Footings Dance Studio to deliver a program that extends students' skill in hip-hop dance.

Over the past two weeks, 60 students auditioned for a position on the team by learning a routine and then performing it to dance teachers, Taylor Beer and Dion Bello, Mrs Artz and Footings Dance Studio owner, Kerry Beer. Not only were we looking for coordination and rhythm, but stage presence and personality were also important. From 60, we needed to shortlist to 30, and what a tough decision it was.

We now have our dance troupe and dance classes will run each Thursday afternoon after school for the duration of Term 2 and 3.  This is such a wonderful opportunity for our students and we look forward to seeing them perform their routine at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod and many other performances.

Classes will be taught by both Taylor and Dion and they're experience is quite impressive. Check out their individual bios.
