Over the recent holiday break, Miss Conroy was named the winner of the Kennelly Constructions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Achievement Award. Congratulations to Cheyanne as this is a fabulous achievement.

Cheyanne is a proud Wurundjeri woman, a primary school teacher and Indigenous leader. She helped introduce our school-wide program allowing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at Coomera Rivers State School to identify with and connect with their culture. As a member of the school's Indigenous Champions team, she has coordinated with AIME to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with a focus on learning the Yugambeh language.

Cheyanne was the first Aboriginal to receive the Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship at Griffith University where she completed Bachelor of Primary Education and Bachelor in Child and Family Studies, both with distinction.  Our school is incredibly proud of her and this achievement.
