Coomera Rivers State School provides many opportunities for students to participate and excel at chosen sports. We believe that sport is for everyone and therefore we strongly encourage participation over competition.
Coomera Rivers offers a large number of Extra-curricular activities for students. Included in this list are the days and times for sports training as well as relevant staff contact information.
Students interested participating in sports activities in 2025 must complete and return the permission form to be eligible to be considered for a team.

The Coomera Rivers State School Sports Program provides additional support and development opportunities to aspiring young male and female sports athletes attending Coomera Rivers State School.
The aim of the Coomera Rivers State School Sports Program is for students to commit to Service – Action – Respect, demonstrated in all aspects of school life including their involvement in their chosen sport:
Many students will represent our school in a variety of academic, sporting and cultural endeavours. These students will deservedly receive our praise, our support and accolades for outstanding effort. At the same time, the highest standards of behaviour, effort and dress will be expected of them as young ambassadors for our school.
Our running club operates every Tuesday before school 7.45-8.15am and all students from Prep to Year 6 are encouraged to participate.

We hold three house carnivals each year - cross-country, athletics and swimming. The focus is on fun and participation and we want to have everyone involved. Separate selection trials are conducted to select students for the school teams. Our four school houses are:
