​​​​Coomera Rivers State School provides many opportunities for students to participate and excel at chosen sports. We believe that sport is for everyone and therefore we strongly encourage participation over competition.​

2026 Sports Program

Students interested in representing the school​ in sports​ in 2026 must complete and return the expression of interest and permission form included in the 2026 sports program letter, by Friday 6 February, 2026, to be eligible to be considered for a team.​ When considering what you​r child will participate in, please note, there will be a uniform cost, event registration (if applicable) and ​transport (if applicable). 

Uniform Requirements

2026 Sport Uniform requirements (uniforms must be purchased from School24).

The 1st school sport event is the Gala D​ay in Term 2​, Week 4.

Here is the process to purchase team uniform for the Gala Day (relevant Gala Day information has been provided to parents).

Ordering steps are as follows:

1. Log on to School24.

2. Select Uniform Online.

3. Click the three menu lines (or scroll across the top) and select Sport Team Uniforms.

4. Select the item you wish to order.

5. Choose the size – if a size guide is available, click Read More to access it.

6. Add to cart, repeat if purchasing more than one item

7. Proceed to checkout.

Netball: Netball Singlet

OzTag: Sports Jersey & Oztag Shorts

Soccer: Sports Jersey and Footy socks

Other Information

• Prices are lower this year as we are utilising existing pre-used stock

• Once this stock is exhausted, new garments will need to be purchased and prices will increase accordingly.

• We are happy to swap sizes within three days of delivery (subject to availability).

• There are no refunds, as this is second-hand stock.

• Given no refunds, it is important that families only purchase once team selections are confirmed.

• School24 notifies you when your order has been fulfilled however, it may take up to 2 business days for teachers to distribute.
  
  

Extra-curricular Activities

Coomera Rivers offers a large number of Extra-curricular activities​ for students. Included in this list are the days and times for sports training as well as relevant staff contact information. We encourage all students to consider joining one or more of these activities. While most are free and run by the school, some are run by external providers and there may be a cost to participate.

Many students will represent our school in a variety of academic, sporting and cultural endeavours. These students will deservedly receive our praise, our support and accolades for outstanding effort. At the same time, the highest standards of behaviour, effort and dress will be expected of them as young ambassadors for our school.

House carnivals

We hold two house carnivals each year: cross-country and athletics. The focus is on fun and participation and we want to have everyone involved. Separate selection trials are conducted to select students for the school teams.
