On Wednesday, our chess club attended the regional chess competition at St. Stephens College. Mr Ingram took 19 of keen chess players to the tournament and they played 7 games with opponents from schools across the northern Gold Coast. Students from Year 1 to Year 6 attended and represented Coomera Rivers State School with pride.
Well done to all students involved. Mr Ingram spoke with many chess coaches and teachers on the day who were very impressed with our teams this year. Mr Ingram gave a special shout out to Ashtiva and Matthew who received merit ribbons for their achievements throughout the day. Congratulations!
