This week Year 5 headed out on their Eureka excursion. They participated in a unique experience, set in thick bush land, that immerses them into Australian History. The thriving tented township simulates life in New South Wales gold fields of 1854. Students participated in role plays, tent making, observation and mapping activities, bought gold mining licences and sought and exchanged Gold! The Eureka excursion isn’t a place to learn about Australia’s history, it’s a place where students can live it!
Congratulations to all students, teachers and parent volunteers on receiving such glowing feedback.
What a wonderful group of people we had attend our venue today. The teachers and parent helpers could not have been more supportive of the students and the Eureka staff. The kids were really well behaved and I would rate them as an 'Excellent' on their report cards.
